year after year

Matt loves to give advice and help people out. He focusses on educating clients to help make decisions rather than telling them what to do. His philosophy is to spend as little on insurance as possible to cover what's needed so you can spend your money on what matters, or put money away for your future. He'll help people get into, and out of, insurance. Matt left a career in sports journalism to join his father Steve in 2015, then he and Nick bought Moneta in 2018.

Nick's genuinely passionate about helping people and the good our industry can do for families and businesses. He loves to help educate people, showing them at least where insurance and investment could fit into their lives, and budget. After a background with a leading insurance company and ACC, Nick and Matt bought the business off founder Steve.

Ben grew up removed from the financial world and spent years working on the tools before gravitating to financial advice. That's shaped how he operates today, making sure good advice is still easy to understand, practical and accessible. The Southbridge senior footy player loves helping Kiwi families build financial confidence and security. He's also won a couple of cool awards for advice and service in his first couple of years in the industry.

Joey enjoys getting to know people and helping them feel confident in the decisions they're making. He brings a youthful, fresh perspective, plenty of energy and an eagerness to keep learning to the team. He's genuine and takes the time to understand what matters to our clients. He wants people to feel comfortable asking questions and know they're getting honest advice from someone genuinely invested in helping them make the right call.

Jonty is joining the team late 2026.

Lisa's been surrounded by financial advice most of her life. Father Ron was in the industry in the Waikato for years; father-in-law Steve invited her into the business in 2017 before she and Matt (and Nick and Mandy) bought Moneta. She's the glue that holds the team together and is the organised one. She loves to go into bat for our clients with medical claims and keeps the boys in line.

Danielle's Moneta's Mrs Fix-it. She's the one juggling many jobs from the company's North Canterbury office; she works from her Rangiora home. Originally on the phones for the company, the boys realised some of her skills were being wasted, and she now helps run the client services side of the business while also weighing in heavily with new clients too.
